Aquasoothe Active 8

A few snippets of reviews I have found.....

The only problem that I could see with Aquasoothe was that the model I tried, unlike other makes, did not have a removable ignition key. This made it totally unsuitable for me as I could not leave it anywhere eg outside a shop, without the possiblity of it being nicked!

Not sure if this is a common feature with all their models.

I actually got my Aquasoothe from ebay but have been back to Aquasoothe for a new battery and they were brilliant. As for speed, I find it rather nippy and it turns and handles well for a small scooter. Security is a big problem if you plan on leaving it outside shops etc. but great for walking dog, taking in car on holidays. I had a Shop rider before and although it was that bit faster it was a nightmare to store and to get in and out of car, my aquasoothe comes apart easy, it came with 2 batteries which I think is standard.

Tried it today and its much lighter and smaller brother, the Travelite DeLuxe Wheeldrive. Got a discount and then another £100 off.

Took it up and down some very steep slopes either side of a busy underpass I have to use taking the dog out. And tried taking controll of the dog at the same time.

Hopefully this will add to my mobility options.

One factor that did decide me was being sure I could lift all the components in and out of a car. Fortunately the salesman arrived in a Vauxhall Meriva (similar in load height to my next Motability vehicle, the Zafira).

No pressure but a lot of practical help and time given to trying unloading, loading, assembling and disassembling the beastie. I am also please the thing can be charged by simply taking the batteries and not the whole scooter indoors.

A similar sized scooter would be TGAs Superlight or the Suplerlight RWD.
