Kuschall K4 Airlite

Thanks to Hotwheelz for the following comment.......

Good Points

Excellent Colours (important...to me anyway!!)

Very Light, easy for me to transfer in and out of my car, can lift with one hand! Therefore also excellent for manoevering around.

Despite being light, its also very solid, and all in all an excellent chair.

Almost all of it can be adjusted.

Bad Points

Made one mistake in opting for scissor brakes, I find them annoying and i have to move my legs sometimes to access them. Only bad point though, and I have had it for 28 months, and to be honest would not change it....cant be that bad a point really!!

What would score it out of ten?

9/10

Specification -

Weighing in at only 8.7 kg, the Küschall K4 AirLite truly deserves its name.

With the narrow angle at the front of the frame, and the wheelbase reduced to the minimum, this compact monotube rigid framed chair is quite simply the lightest and most manoeuvrable of the küschall wheelchairs.

Agility and strength

The AirLite designed by Rainer Küschall is his lightest chair yet.

The AirLite features new forks giving a significant weight saving, and the seat and rear wheels have also been weight reduced whilst still retaining their strength.

Compact and versatile

Thanks to the angle of the front frame, the overall length of this wheelchair is reduced by about 6cm. Its three or four inch front wheels provide extremely good manoeuvrability.
