Motability is an independent not-for-profit organisation, which provides mobility solutions for disabled people.

The Disabled Drivers`Association (Registered Charity 254544) aims to promote independence through improved mobility for disabled people and those with mobility problems.

Blue Badge abuse and congestion charging are just two of our campaigns. Our goal is mobility for ALL including accessible public transport and the eradication of Blue Badge abuse.

Mobility Trust's history

Mobility Trust was founded in 1972 to develop special road vehicles for severely disabled people, building on the work of the electronic laboratories at the National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Roger Jefcoate, deputy director there for ten years, was a founder of our charity and remains as honorary adviser and a very active Vice-President.

Our Mission

To be the UK's foremost resource for physically disabled people who drive or want to drive.

The Mobility Information Service is mostly run by volunteers, the majority of whom are themselves disabled and who have a desire to help others overcome their own mobility problems.
