TrLite TRC

The TiLite™ TRC is a custom version of the TiLite™ TR, with additional frame modifications and accessories, including a tapered seat and adjustable camber bar. This product is intended for the person who knows the exact dimensions and details they want in a chair. The TRC, like the TR, weighs only 15 pounds (with wheels) 7 pounds (without). It is equally the lightest and strongest chair on the market today.

TRC Special Features:

Dual tapered seats and front frames are features that are offered only on the TRC model rigid chair. In addition, tension strap seat upholstery is standard, and front frame angle choices are available from 60 to 90 degrees in 5-dgree increments. The C fits the user more like an orthosis device than a wheelchair.

Frame:

TiLite™ frames are hand - fabricated using only Ti 325 seamless titanium tubing. Frame tube mitres are meticulously cut for a perfect fit resulting in the finest welds and strongest frames in the industry. Bead blasted, scratch resistant finishes are standard, and polished or brushed frames are optional.

Seat:

Seat widths and depths are available in 1-inch increments from 12 inches to 18 inches. Upholstery is durable, adjustable, black nylon sailcloth, and cushion choices include 2,3, or 4 inch foam, Supracor 's Stimulite™ pressure relieving cushion.

Seat Back:

Folding, height-adjustable, angle-adjustable seat backs are standard. Choice of height ranges from 8 inches to 20 inches in 1/2-inch increments. Standard angle adjustments range from 80 degrees to 101 degrees. Custom fixed backs are available also. Upholstery is velcro adjustable padded black nylon sailcloth. Tension strap adjustable upholstery is optional.

Upholstery Colours:

Choose either Ti Red, navy blue, royal blue, hunter green, purple, or standard black.

Front Frame Angle:

Standard front frame angles are 70, 80, and 85 degrees. On more custom models, choices are from 60 to 90 degrees in 5-degree increments.

Centre Of Gravity:

Standard clamp-on adjustable camber tube.

Caster Wheels:

You can choose casters starting with standard 3" micro casters, or go to a 4" or 5" billet aluminium caster, or choose the 5"plastic wheel, all with poly tires. Frog Leg suspension forks are also available.

Rear Wheels:

Choices are standard 22, 24, 25, 26 or 27 inch spoked wheels. Options include high flange hubs, titanium handrims, hi-resilient foamed poly tires, and high performance SPOX wheels from Spinergy, or 24 inch spider wheels.

Wheel Locks:

Choose the revolutionary Uni-Lock or the under-seat scissor lock. The Uni-Lock offers a multi-adjustable wheel lock, that can act as either a push or a pull to lock. The scissor lock stays out of the way of your hands, and both locks are stainless steel for longer wear.

Rear Wheel Camber:

Camber choices include 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 15, or 18 degrees. An adjustable camber system of 0,3,6,9 or 12 degrees is an option.

Footrests:

Footrest choices include standard ABS plastic, ABS with sides to contain your feet, or a traditional open loop, high mount angle adjustable, and angle adjustable high mount footrests.

I've had a TRC for almost one year. I love it. The tubing is much smaller in diameter than conventional chairs. The titanium is ultra light and ultra strong. The fixed frame has held my 235lbs for a year and tracks true to form after me beating on it for a year. I use a 8lb Roho Quatro Select cushion and when you remove it from the chair the chair becomes weightless...15lbs. Downside: all chairs are custom fit for all owners. Make sure a trustworthy/knowledgable person measures you for your chair prior to ordering. Try to choose the closet leg rest/seat pan angle to 90 degrees. This will minimize your turning radius. Finally, their hat/shirt logo is "The Ultimate Ride". That gets plenty of looks from people while spinning around in public. I would recommend this chair to anyone active or in need of a ultra light chair!
